Muscat – 21 June 2018: Nama Group (NG), a Government-owned entity, engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, supply and procurement of the electricity in the Sultanate, welcomed an esteemed delegation from the National Defence College (NDC) in the headquarters of Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECO), one of the Group subsidiaries.
Eng. Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi, Nama Group CEO, with the Group’s CEOs, received the delegation which was headed by Major General Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commandant of the NDC, along with a number of participants from the Fifth National Defence Course that consist of members from various military, security and civilian authorities.
The objectives of the visit are to know the strategic importance of Nama Group and the general regulation of electricity sector. Furthermore, the visit intents to highlight Nama Group strategic competencies and patterns; in addition to the challenges that face the group and development plans and solutions to meet the future requirements. Also, the participants will be able to understand the nature of the relationship between the electricity sector with government and entities.
NDC organises the visit to enable those participants to possess knowledge, know-how and further qualify them to hold leadership positions in the country. Accordingly, NG presented, by the Executive Management and other key officials, the Group Strategies including staff development programmes, Risk Management and HSE Strategy.
