Nama Group launches the third edition of its awareness project “Baiti Aamin”

11-Sep-2018 Muscat, 6 Sep 2018: Nama Group (NG) launched the third version of “Baiti Aamin” project, one of the sustainability initiatives in the social pillar. With this remarkable launch, the Group aims to build a culture of health and safety as well as promoting the awareness of skills needed to deal with emergencies and to prevent potential accidents at home. In order to empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and to support voluntary teams to contribute actively to the community, NG collaborated with Ajyal Al Hemma Company and Asef Volunteering Team to conduct this project, which includes a series of activities and lectures. This year, Nama Group targeted different groups of the community (housewives, mothers, students of school, universities and colleges) as well as supporting other concerned institutions which contribute to HSE aspects. The launch was represented in conducting the first workshop in Masirah Island and Willayat Al Jazer, targeting at least 150 participants. The project will constantly achieve its objectives through implementing additional workshops and training programmes from 6 September to 30 November 2018 in the Sultanate’s 10 Governorates: Muscat, Dhofar, North and South Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta, Al Dakhiliya, Al Buraimi, Musandam, and North and South Al Batina, plus five universities and more than five schools. “Baiti Aamin” was launched in 2015, as more than 400 residents of Willayat Bousher were trained on skills related to First Aid, firefighting, and home safety. Additionally, 200 homes in the Wilayat were provided with First Aid kits, and suitable firefighting equipment. The second edition of the programme was implemented last year in all Wilayats of Muscat Governorate, targeting school students, housewives, Omani Women Associations, mothers of female students, Omani kindergarten female teachers, and female religious counselors. In addition, several scenarios of First Aid were emphasized, whereas participants received First Aid kits and manuals. Nama Group also extends its thanks to Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance for their fruitful and continuous cooperation with all NG’s subsidiaries. _End_ ;
