Al Musanna, 18 Oct 2018 – Within the framework to build a pipeline of talent for higher positions in its Human Capital, Nama Group (NG) concluded batch 2 of prospective leaders Programme “Ruwad”, honouring a cohort of (38) identified high potentials across the Group. The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of HE Hassan bin Mohammed Al Lawati, Chairman of Nama Group Board of Directors, with the presence of Eng. Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi, the Group CEO, NG Subsidaries’ CEOs and key officials from the Group and concerned parties at Millennium Resort Musanna.
“Ruwad” Programme, launched in 2014, is one of the developmental initiatives rolled out across Nama Group companies. The key objective of Ruwad is to identify employees showing high performance and potential and groom them to take leadership roles across NG’s structure. The Programme also aims at developing individuals’ capabilities and competencies, who are the most promising talents in the Group’s subsidiaries.
After the success of batch 1, Numo Institute for Competency Development (NICD), a member of Nama Group, executed batch 2 of the Programme in partnership with Takatuf, Oman’s leading Human Capital solutions provider, and HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading providers of Executive Education. The objective of this partnership is to offer unique customised and powerful leadership programme and learning experience that includes case studies with real business challenges.

Batch 2 of the Programme encompassed three modules; the first module commenced in May, the second one took place in July and the third one in October 2018. The modules were founded on solid combination of academic concepts, business research and validated processes. In addition, the Programme included assignments outside the modules and an action learning project component where business teams have worked on current business challenges and opportunities to sustain their leadership learning. Another key element of the Programme has been introduced in series of individual coaching sessions, provided by Takatuf’s Master Certified Executive Coach.
Nama Group continues the implementation of its Sustainability Policy to develop the human resources through several ways based on international standards. The Group extends its thanks to Takatuf and HEC Paris for their efforts and continuous support to make this milestone successfully done.
